Wrapping up the Semester with Final Post :)

This Electronic Media Production II course has taught us how to use different social media outlets. As communications majors we will be using social media for almost every and anything that we do. Social media is a very effective asset to our society today. Keeping up and knowing how to use different and new ones as they come along is important because it maybe the only source that we will be able to find out our news one day; and everyone knows that news is a necessity. Below are the outlets that we discussed and what I've learned from each one listed and how it's helped me.

Twitter:
Twitter is a social media outlet that allows its users to "tweet" with 160 characters. You can tweet whatever you want. My username for Twitter is: JJacks_x. My last tweet was on Thursday April 28th, and I tweeted "Summer 16". I guess you can say I'm pretty excited for summer. Every major business uses Twitter because it's effective and reaches large audiences.. Quickly! What's not to love about that for any business company, big or small.

LinkedIn:
Linkedin is a site designed to helping its users network amongst different companies. It's a social site for businesses to seek employees and for people seeking employment to network as well. Users are able to customize their profile and add their resume for people who are interested. Young professionals need this site because it is fast, reliable, and it's benefitting for younger audiences dealing with school, work, etc. I love Linkedin. It's interesting and helpful at the same time. I recommend it to anyone!!

Prezi:
Prezi is a site that allows you to make unique presentations for class, work, or just for fun. I personally don't like Prezi as much as Powerpoint. I feel that Powerpoint is not as complicated as reuse. One you get the gist of Prezi, it becomes more interesting. What makes Prezi interesting and unique is the fact that is has so many awesome and creative templates that allow you to be just that, creative. I decided to do my Prezi presentation on my Top 10 favorite movies.

Vine:
Vine is a six second video recording app. In this class we were assigned to make two videos; one video was a one-word response video and the other was a humorous one. The first time I heard about vine was my senior year in high school in 2011; so working with the app again was fun.

Green Screen:
I really enjoyed the Green Screen project! I thought it was cool to take pictures in front of the green screen and  emerge my green screen photo with another of my choice (the red carpet photo) together. I've worked red carpet events before so I thought that it would be cool to place myself on one. This green screen effect can be used of fun if you're into editing pictures and like to incorporate personal images and to other ones that you see fit. This application can be used on a professional level because it is an easy way to make changes that may be needed for conventions, forums, presentations, etc. on a clean and professional level. Kizoa:
Kizoa is an online movie maker, video editor and slideshow creator according to its website. It's really fun and easy to use! I really liked everything about it, especially how it fast it was to make my slideshow. The special effects feature is really neat and makes the final product creative. My Kizoa creation was a compilation of Bulldogs surfacing around the campus of South Carolina State University. I added music and transition effects to it to spice it up a bit. Super fun and very neat!

Overall, I really enjoyed this course. There were a lot of interesting and new things that I learned about. One of my favorite discussions was the Kizoa one. I really like Kizoa. This course taught me how all of the outlets work in depth. I was familiar with all of the outlets we discussed except for Kizoa.
